“"The plan was set. All they had to do was get through the morning and it would all be good! They slapped high fives and went to each other's classroom.

In this mischievous story, we meet six-year-old twins Tarah and Darah. The twins live with their Grandmother while their father is deployed. In this misadventure, the twins decide to switch places one morning at school. Who would know? After all, they are twins - identical in every way. Aren't they?

While their teachers do not notice the switch, their classmates pick up on tiny details and recognize that the girls are not who they say they are. Not only that, Tarah's classwork is much harder than Darah anticipated. Unable to complete the work, Darah sadly admits to Tarah's teacher that they switched places. While the teachers are amused as they switch the girls back to their correct classes - Darah remains upset, not understanding why she couldn't do the same work as Tarah. This self-doubt follows her until bedtime when Grandma gently explains that we are each unique and have our talents.

This story heartwarming story is beautifully illustrated with rich colors and intricate details. It was nice to see the depiction of an alternative family structure and the girls' antics and classmates will be instantly relatable to every child. The message that we all have our unique abilities and talents, is gently presented to the reader throughout the story. The loving family dynamic is felt as you read the story and it is clear, that no matter what misadventures the girls get up to, their Grandmother will be there to guide them in the right direction.
